I got up at 4:30 a.m. to make sure I had time to set up to image the conjunction. It was a quiet, peaceful morning. I took several rounds of photos but the ones I took as dawn approached were my favorites because of the gorgeous deep blue sky. I was able to capture three of Jupiter's moons (Ganymede, Europa and Callisto). A shadow transit of Ganymede was actually taking place at the time, but I was more focused on imaging the conjunction.
