Setup a camera with a wide angle to capture the Tryon Palace and the moon as it traveled over the palace. At same time I took my wide shots, I took a telephoto shot of the moon. I scaled the more detailed 600mm shots down and placed them over the appropriate moon locations in the wide angle photo stack. You can see that the last few eclipse shots show the clouds that eventually ended the photo shoot. I couldn't get all of it, and none of the second partial eclipse phase due to the clouds.

Sony a7iii with 15mm lens; Sony a9ii with 200-600mm lens at 600mm.

The composite is made from:
- One shot of the foreground and sky taken around 10pm before the partial eclipse phase started.
- A series of shots every 8-10min with same camera/lens as the foreground (these showed where the moon was at that time)
- A series of shots taken with a 600mm telephoto at the same time as the shots above
- The telephoto shots were then scaled down and placed over the moon in the wide shots
