This tiny butterfly, the species I believe is called the Hairstreak, was very obliging as she rested upon a bloom not one foot from my elbow! Typically a very high strung kind of insect, the winds blowing made it difficult for them to alight upon the bush's blooms.....hence, I believe they were tired after some hours of attempted landings! All the same....ain't she pretty?!
