Moon in Volcanic Sunset 6th May.
Mutare continues to experience regular brightly coloured volcanic sunsets due to stratospheric aerosols from the January 15th eruption of Hunga-Tonga volcano. Here is a beautiful picture of the five day old 28% illuminated waxing crescent Moon taken on Friday to the left of Pollox and Castor Gemini stars with the Orion Constellation above a fading volcanic sunset twilight arch behind Christmas Pass.
Four second exposure with tripod-mounted Panasonic lumix DMC-ZS40 in night scenery mode.
