Herring Gull (Larus argentatus) after eight attempts was able to catch a sizable Blueback Herring (Alosa aestivalis). The weight and body length of the fish probably pushed the limit of the gull's strength capacity as it struggled for another five minutes trying to swallow it whole; headfirst.
