Earth's interactions with space made for an exciting show last night. As our planet passed through a C/1861 G1 (Thatcher)'s debris trail, the Lyrid meteor shower reached its peak, generating a few bright meteors. Simultaneously, the aurora borealis danced above the northern horizon.
