So exited to see snow rollers today! They're uncommon because they take very specific meteorological conditions to form. A thin surface layer of wet, loose snow, with a temperature near the melting point of ice, over ice or powder, and wind or a steeper slope to roll them down hill—the center is typically less dense. Captured in the Rocky Mountains of Southern Alberta, Canada.
