The photo below shows the April 5th conjunction of Saturn and Mars. Conjunctions occur when the orbits of planetary bodies make them appear from Earth close together in the sky. In this case, Mars and Saturn were visible just 20 arc minutes apart from one another. The bright star to the left of the conjunction is Venus, which has an apparent magnitude of around -4.
