Blue Jay perched on a tree branch. This is a native bird in this region so we see it all year long. To the human eye, the male and female Blue Jays look alike physically, just like crows. However, the birds can tell each other apart from mating calls and subtle variation in each other's feathers in the UV Spectrum.
