The winter solstice which occurs today marks the official beginning of winter and the shortest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. From tomorrow on, days will start getting longer again, taking us out of the darkness as we slowly head towards spring.
I meant to go up the hill to take a picture of the moonset on the ocean but stopped on the harbor upon seeing the colorful sunrise. When I looked west the clouds had already hidden the moon. Hope you the sunrise brings you cheer.
