One of the shots in a timelapse of 20 second exposures. When you take timelapses, it's easy to tell meteorites from other passing objects. Airplanes are obvious because of the strobe lights. Satellites can look like meteorites, but they move slowly and appear in multiple frames. (So do airplanes.) Meteorites appear in one frame only and also tend to be more colorful.

I usually set up the camera for timelapse before midnight and go to sleep. Then, in the morning, I enjoy the "catch".
