Before the Collison.

The image shows cygnus arm of the milky way and andromeda galaxy (at the centre of the image). The two galaxies, currently 2.5 million light years apart, are supposed to collide with one another in approximately 4.5 billion years. However, new research shows that the collision has already started between the galactic halos of the two galaxies.

The imaging conditions were not suitable with clouds and haze, but the view was unforgettable.
