In the morning of November 19,2021, I waited and waited for the sky to clear to see the partial lunar eclipse . I covered my telescope with two giant plastic bags. The rain came down so hard. All I kept thinking was, did I make a big mistake? By 3:40am, I started uncovering my telescope. The clouds started moving away fast. The sky was crystal clear. It was amazing. The first thing I saw was the Pleiades above the moon along with the partial eclipse. I didn’t know where to start for fear that the clouds might come back. I grabbed my camera and tripod and took a single exposure of the Pleiades and moon. I then started taking pictures of the eclipse with my DSLR and telescope. What turned out to be a quick shot turned out to be my favorite shot of the night. I only wish I was tracking and took many more shots. The blue you see is a color I added to my image. I was not able to capture the hot blue and luminous stars because my exposure was too short and I had a lack of data.
