To the memory of the tree
There was a big and branched maple tree in front of my window. Sparrows and starlings lived and grew their chicks in its hollows. Crows, cardinals and hawks cleaned their plumage on its branches, nuthatches and woodpeckers fed, pigeons performed the mating ritual. Squirrels lived on it, ate its buds and seeds, and bred offspring. It was a big kind House, and I was lucky to see its residents for almost 25 years, observed their lives and took their photos. Hundreds of photos ... But a few years ago, when repairing pipes, its roots were badly damaged, the maple began to dry out, and its dried branches were broken by wind more and more. And today it was cut down. Now it is empty in front of my window.
I made а collage of several photos of residents and visitors of the tree - in memory of it.
