I had been observing the southern skies since last year while tracking the Jupiter Saturn conjunction. I had been fascinated by the Teapot asterism and the Scorpius constellation when I first clicked them with Jupiter and Saturn nearby in 2020. This year I watched them again through the summer. Finally, as winter begins to set in, we're now getting clear skies, and today I took my tripod to get a click! Scorpius was about to set and the tail end stars had already faded into the city lights (we've had increased light pollution lately :( ). But it was quite stunning to see the peculiarly shifted orientation of the two star groups as opposed to what I'd seen before. It actually took me a moment to recheck if it was really the Teapot! Venus shone brightly in the vicinity adding to the whole magnificence!
