Rise of the other Galaxy.
This is my first attempt at deepscape images. This image of andromeda rising over a coconut tree was capured on 9th September 2021. The light pollution of Kolkata wouldn't allow me shooting such images when the deep sky object is at the horizon. I had to choose a lower vantage point to allow andromeda rise a bit higher in the sky while having a foreground in the image.
Such deepscape images are a good reminder about the apparent sizes of different deep sky objects which we can't see with our naked eyes. Andromeda galaxy (AD: ~3°10') appears almost six times larger than a full moon (AD: ~33') in the night sky.
