These three snaps are a post-sunset end of summer picture from my backyard on Lake Hartwell, taken with my cell phone. I was so delighted that my phone could take such a satisfying picture of (a) Scorpio my birth-constellation, (b) Venus and Arcturus, and (c) Ursa Major. You don't need to have a fancy telescope camera set up to take some very beautiful shots! (PS- Thanks for being in my inbox most mornings. I always enjoy it, and I think its very valuable to know what is going on in the sky.)
