Blue morpho butterfly underwing pattern, looks like camouflage. Very different from his blue top!
I work for the Niagara Parks (a self-financed Government agency), and we have a Butterfly Conservatory with over 2,000 butterflies made-up of approximately 45 species: https://www.niagaraparks.com/visit/attractions/butterfly-conservatory/
The blue morpho - native to Central America - is the most popular.
We also have entomologists on staff, an emergence window with cocoons for kids to see the butterflies emerge. It's educational. In the fall we have an event to tag Monarchs to monitor their migration to Mexico.
