The Owl Cluster (NGC 457), imaged last night from Halifax between cloudy periods. This is one of my favorite open star clusters. Also known as the Dragonfly Cluster or E.T. Cluster, NGC 457 is located in the constellation Cassiopeia. The stars in this open cluster are estimated to be 21 million years old.
