I took these images between 2 and 3 AM on the morning of July 15.
These two planets rise around 9:30 (Saturn) and 10:30 (Jupiter). Saturn is a dull bright yellow object in the SE sky around midnight and Jupiter is very bright in the SE sky around 1 am. Saturn is about 837 million miles from us and Jupiter is about 390 million miles away. These two will dominate the summer nighttime sky this year.
The sky was quite clear (for a change) and the dew was heavy, keeping my dew-suppression straps working overtime.

Telescope: Celestron 11" EdgeHD at f/10
Camera: ZWO ASI 071 One-Shot-Color
Filter: Baader UV/IR cut

I captured these planets in a program called 'SharpCap Pro' creating a 5,000 frame movie file. From there, I imported the file into a stacking program called 'AutoStakkert!' and used the best 2,500 frames. I then sharpened the product using 'RegiStax' and 'Photoshop CC'.
