this was taken Sunday evening 7/11/21 US Pacific time and shows the conjunction of the two day old moon, Mars, and Venus in the western sky around twenty minutes after sunset; there were multiple layers of clouds in the valley below, the day was one during which high temperature records were being set in many parts of California and it was around 100 degrees F at the time the image was captured
