This photo was taken on a warm spring day looking a bit south of east from Ponte Vedre Beach, FL. Water was cooler than the air, presumably the right conditions for a superior mirage. The enlargement shows two boats (probably not inverted) within the upper, narrow, rather murky gray/blue band. I cannot guess the sizes of the boats. Note that the murky upper band has some surface waves, but shows no glints at all, suggesting that this band might be a mirage of water much farther away, but I am not at all certain of this. Any comments and ideas welcome ????
