This image of the 2.2 % illuminated Waxing Crescent Moon with the Planet Venus in the upper left was taken from the suburbs East of Baton Rouge into the setting Sun dusk at 8:37 pm. It is difficult to photograph objects close to the horizon from a back yard with roofs, trees and the light pollution of near by shopping malls, the haze of industry and car as well as Mosquitoes. This photo shows what can be done with patience and persistence.
