This is a green flash at sunrise over the Atlantic ocean, as viewed from the beach at Corolla, North Carolina. I got up before sunrise on this morning and realized the weather was ideal for this kind of photo (clear skies on the horizon), so I set up my tripod and camera pointed at the approximate area where I thought the sun would come up. Sure enough, right as the sun broke the horizon, it was a spectacular green color for about 2 seconds - and I snapped this single frame which captured the color.
