In this photo taken of a section of bigger view, an “arcus” cloud is seen forming signalling foul weather. These clouds are also known as “shelf” clouds, which are mostly wedge-shaped clouds and attached to parent clouds, resulting in a thunderstorm. This scene greeted me in the late afternoon but surprisingly there was no rain as the wind dissipated the clouds moments after.
