The Centaurus and Crux constellations were clearly visible in the evening sky over Southeastern Singapore
Centaurus is the ninth largest constellation in the sky. Alpha Centauri (Rigil Kentaurus) is the third brightest star in the sky, and Beta Centauri (Hadar) is the tenth brightest star. These 2 stars are used as "pointer stars" to help observers find the constellation Crux.
Crux is the smallest of the modern constellations, and consists of four bright stars that make up this Southern Cross
