A second update on the New York owl. First photographed with one eye open, this screech owl has been in the same spot every time I have stopped by for weeks. March 3 with one eye open. April 8 eyes shut. And today, May 3, still there. It was missing briefly down in the hole, then popped up with eyes open for just a few seconds. Back to sleep.
