This is a grid view of 56 images of the brightest star in the Earth's night sky - Sirius.
The twinkling of stars is due to Earth's atmospheric refraction of starlight. As the air moves, the starlight is refracted, often different colours in different direction, because of this chromatic aberration the stars can appear to change colours when they are twinkling strongly.
The closer the star is to the Horizon, the thicker the atmosphere and the stronger the effect.

The star is defocused on purpose to make it appear larger and to make the colours prominent.
