This hydrogen alpha image of our Sun shows several prominences and filaments, as well as plages associated with sunspots AR2818 (left of center) and AR2816 (right of center).
Lunt 40mm solar scope and ASI183MC CMOS camera with 1.5x Barlow
Best 75 frames of 500 were stacked with Autostakkert2 and post-processed with Registax 6 for wavelets, then Photoshop to blend overexposed image showing prominences with image showing surface detail; MS Photo for final tweaks.
