Looking like a field of gold, these yellow perennials were definitely eye catching in broad daylight.
On the background is the steeple of Old St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. Originally constructed in 1883 on Nob Hill, it is the oldest church in San Pedro, California. It served as a beacon to those on land and sea. Years after it had fallen in disrepair, the community decided to find it a new home. In 2011, it was dismantled and transported to Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes, where it has since been restored and stands in proudly as it did back then.
