A White-breasted Waterhen (Scientific Name : Amaurornis phoenicurus) seen at this marshland at park nearby my residence. Found from the Indian subcontinent, Southern China to Southeast Asia with northern population wintering in Southeast Asia.Adult, it has white face and underparts contrasting with dark slaty-grey upperparts, chestnut undertail-coverts and distinctive yellowish-green bill with red base. Usually it forages in the open and is not shy of humans. And they look so adorable.
