This image contains the Bode and Cigar Galaxies also called M81 and M82 . These galaxies lie about 12 million light years away in the constellation of Ursa Major. M82 is a starburst galaxy and the closest of its kind to earth. And M81 has a dimeter of 90,000 light years and has been studied extensively by professional astronomer. A great target(s) for galaxy season!
