In conjunction with the International Dark Sky Week , what better way to observe the night skies above. Took this photo this morning facing the south direction of Singapore. The 2 prominent constellations The Sagittarius on the left and Scorpion on the right was clearly visible in the morning skies when the it was still dark. There was a strange cloud forming across below these constellations that remind me of the Milky Way though it is not. The fact that this photo was captured from a smartphone using the night mode function allowing to picture the stars more clearly. Astrophotography is possible these days with newer smartphones and it is interesting to see star clusters so clearly. These constellation is set to be visible for some time in the Northern Hemisphere and in order to identify them, one just need to look closely and imagine the formation of the stars, for instance, Sagittarius is defined by its Teapot shape after getting familiar with the stars.
