In the hollow opposite my window, a couple of sparrows have been living for the second year. They hatched chicks twice last year. I then watched the life of this family from the romantic courtship of the parents to the departure of the chicks. Now the couple brings dry and fresh grass into the hollow and actively protects their house, kicking out even starlings. In the photo: a male with a bunch of fresh grass near his hollow.
