I was walking to a bridge over the Platte River to see the Sandhill Cranes leave the river at dawn when I saw the crescent moon near Jupiter. I stopped to take a picture of the moon and Jupiter and realized many small flocks of cranes were flying past the moon (prior to the main flock leaving the river at sunrise). This photo shows two cranes flying over Jupiter. Mercury is also visible at the far left about even with the moon relative to the horizon.
