The waning crescent moon seen in the day this morning here in Singapore at 46.4% illuminated.
Moon Direction: 240.57° WSW↑
Moon Altitude: 53.53°
Moon Distance: 370,496 km
The moon never fails to amaze me especially when it could be spotted in the morning skies when the sun had risen more than 3 hours ago. The glare of the sun to the left of the moon allows the craters and mare of the moon to be clearly visible when a close up shot is taken. No matter how much I have read about the moon from journals, books, internet etc, I wonder for how long in one's lifetime we could see the wonder of this round 'stone' being suspended in the sky like this like a ball. Even more amazing that astronauts had reached the moon in the past despite the vast distance of the moon from Earth.
