After a day of 10-20F temperatures, with snow and gale force winds the clouds cleared the temps rose to the high 20s to reveal the ice crystal formed sun pillar. I always look out for sun dogs (I've saw many in the Antarctic) and I have never observed a sun pillar before. Nature never disappoints.
