I was practicing with a compass to make sure I was looking towards the SW and they appeared right on cue after sunset. Unfortunately, the forecast is for thick cloud cover tomorrow night during the great conjunction. While I’m disappointed, I’m pleased to have captured this shot leading up to their meeting. And I will still be visiting the spot tomorrow on the off chance a solstice miracle occurs and the clouds part.
