This is the second day of the waning crescent moon with Venus; Mercury; and Spica. Spica is very faint, but is aligned with the moon and Venus. Mercury is a little bit more visible than Spica. It’s position is just above the tree line left of center of the picture.

I missed the first day because I’m ignorant of astronomical events, but even a novice could see the well lit alignment that morning. I was so excited about the next and final day, but cloud cover inhibited full view of all the bodies that morning. I was only able to get the moon and Venus.

I am now impassioned by astronomy post waning crescent moon.
