Four Sunsets on Feruka Repeater Station Hill.
Cloudless skies at Sunset during the four days from 23rd-26th October allowed the Sun to be observed setting at two locations to the north (above) and two to the south (below) of the cellular network repeater station mast on the summit of a hill near Feruka, Mutare. On the first three days there was very little haze so the sun was bright yellow and orange as it started to set behind the hill but on the fourth day it was coloured deep orange-red by a layer of smoke haze close to the horizon. The four views also demonstrate nicely by how much the Sun is at present advancing along the local horizon each day. This movement depends on two things, the time of year and the latitude from which it is observed – more details at https://earthsky.org/astronomy-essentials/how-far-does-sun-move-on-your-horizon-each-day
