This is the second time I am seeing this, this year. The first one I saw was in July. I spotted this today afternoon and decided to take a picture of it again. A halo with rainbow-like colors around the sun. With the area between the halo and sun darker than usual.

I used iPhone editing by increasing the vibrance, brilliance and brightness to reduce the glare from the sun and to bring out the blue color of the sky.
