This image of the Iris Nebula (NGC 7023) and surrounding interstellar dust clouds was captured earlier this month from a dark site bordering on the Bay of Fundy. The Iris Nebula is a bright reflection nebula illuminated by a hot, young, central star. The Iris Nebula is situated in the constellation Cepheus.
