I've been meaning to send this for years, but wasn't convinced it was of wide enough interest. Anyway, ignoring the telephone wires, the only explanation for the dark streaks inthe skye that I can think of is that they are shadows of aircraft condensation trails on lower level cloud. Not seen it before or since.
