Jupiter with Moons. As Galileo my have seen them in 1610 through newly developed telescopes, to disprove the theological theory that the earth was at the centre of the Universe and everything revolved around us. This view proved Galileo's theory that if gas giant Jupiter's moons moved in different positions at different times they too must be revolving around their planet and similarly Jupiter, like the earth revolves around the sun, which is the centre of our solar system.
