A threesome!

On July 22, the sky was blue with a few scattered clouds all day, and I had set up my rig with fully charged batteries, flashlights, raingear and lenses packed in a pelican waterproof case … the hunt for NEOWISE was getting serious! As the sun set, and the longest one hour waiting time began ticking, the faint waxing crescent moon, previously obscured by low clouds, slowly appeared in the scene. This instantly called for a wide field shot, and I imagined that the setting moon and bright star Regulus and Comet NEOWISE would fit into a single composition, and they did!

My second encounter with the comet, and I am even more ecstatic.
