Searching for the perfect spot to photograph the comet was proving a little difficult. I tried while camping in Malibu, but the comet disappeared behind the hills too quickly. Ultimately, I went to my favorite night sky location, Joshua Tree National Park. It feels like another planet which is perfect for shooting a celestial event.

I used a Nikon D750.
