Managed to get a few images of the comet from a location close to where I live on the California Coast in Monterey Bay. This time of year is when the weather is changing quickly in regards to the temperatures inland that pull the ocean marine layers overhead quickly. I do a lot of night photography work but shooting a comet is a first. Planning on a few more opportunities for more the next few days.

Monterey, although the marine layers made it a little more difficult to capture, a small moment became clear. Canon DSLR 6D mkii with Canon 16-35mm f/2.5 USM IS WIDE Angle Tripp’s mounted. Settings, f/4.5 shutter 10/1 iso 800-1000. 1-stop ND filter on lens

This is jpeg downloaded from camera WiFi using canon connect app to phone. Developing adjustments include minimal tweaks to highlight, shadow and contrast. iPhone app noise level adjustment is not very effective. RAW version isn’t developed yet
