STORY:
The Milky Way and Comet Neowise were captured at Mono Lake Tufa State Natural Reserve in California. It was a fantastic night with clear skies; however, during the day there were gray skies so I was not sure if I was going to capture any starry night sky photos. It turned out very clear, and Neowise made an appearance at 9:45 pm on 07.17.2020. Very visible without a lens.
This site is very Jurassic with tufa's formations coming out of the lake, so to see a comet and the milky way in one shot really an amazing sight to see.
