Comet Neowise C/2020 F3

Finally!! Visible in the sky after sunset and before sunrise hours, this long tail comet has been skirting Earth’s horizons for few days now and it will reach the closest point on July 22 at a distance of 64 million miles. It wont return to Earth again for 6800 years! Yes, thats the timeline for this sky marvel. So, go out and look in the North Western to North Eastern sky from dusk to dawn and you should be able to spot it.

After days of being eluded by this comet due to constant cloud cover I found the opportunity to go and photograph it. Got an open window for 20 minutes, enough to shoot this natural marvel streaking through the sky.

Nikon D75 camera
Nikkor 24-120mm f/4 lens
Ioptron Skyguider pro tracker and tripod

The comet shot is stacked with 8 exposures of 25 sec each tracked with the tracker.
The Church exposures are HDR stacked to preserve highlights and shadows. Exposure times ranging from 25sec - 1sec
