For several mornings, I would head out to numerous different locations over Rhode Island, USA to find a spot to capture Comet F3 NEOWISE. Though the intense heat and humidity we have had in the region has resulted in foggy mornings along the Southern New England coast. On July 15th, I was at the Frosty Drew Observatory working with our summer interns and the comet became extremely visible with the unaided eye once twilight waned enough. We raced to setup our gear and captured this photo. From our location, the comet was easily visible to the unaided eye and we measured a naked-eye visible tail that extended 10º. Completely fabulous!
